Ponferrada Mayor Carlos Lopez Riesco, held in Valladolid a meeting with the Minister of Culture of the Junta de Castilla y León, María José Salgueiro, in which the Board pledged its support for the candidacy of Ponferrada to host the World Cycling 2013, providing one third of investment needed to organize the event, about 5 million.
